Named after the late local architect, community stalwart, and founding member of UXBRIDGE in 1981, Malcolm Smith Gallery is a public contemporary art space for the eastern suburbs of Auckland, dedicated to developing the practice and appreciation of contemporary art in all its creative diversity.
After a long-awaited upgrade, UXBRIDGE Theatre will open its doors again in October offering a high quality and varied programme showcasing music, dance, comedy and theatre from emerging performers to globe trotting bands and headlining acts.
To celebrate this momentous occasion UXBRIDGE will open with a two-week Festival programme showcasing local and internationally acclaimed acts ensuring that the UXBRIDGE Theatre is a place to be entertained. If you are after a great night out then you will not be disappointed with the programme we have for you.
Our professional tutors inspire, support and encourage students enabling them to reach their full potential. The programme is a stimulating blend of creative opportunities and cultural experiences. We motivate beginners to get started, we nurture children so they become our artists of the future, and we guide advanced students so they reflect critically on their own work.
The events programme is supported by a vibrant and exciting mix of outdoor, community and performance events for all ages and cultures. Tours and visits to places of interest are a regular feature in our seniors programme.
