WELCOME TO UXBRIDGE
We are delighted to announce that the Malcolm Smith Gallery will be opening 11 June 2016. Named after the late local architect, community stalwart, and founding member of UXBRIDGE in 1981, Malcolm Smith Gallery is intended as East Auckland’s foremost public gallery dedicated to developing the practice and appreciation of contemporary art in all its creative diversity.
A hidden gem on your doorstep, UXBRIDGE Theatre offers a high quality and varied programme showcasing music, dance, comedy, film, and theatre from emerging performers to globe trotting bands and headlining acts.
Our professional tutors inspire, support and encourage students enabling them to reach their full potential. The programme is a stimulating blend of creative opportunities and cultural experiences. We motivate beginners to get started, we nurture children so they become our artists of the future, and we guide advanced students so they reflect critically on their own work.
The events programme is supported by a vibrant and exciting mix of outdoor, community and performance events for all ages and cultures. Tours and visits to places of interest are a regular feature in our seniors programme.
