#UXBRIDGEKidsCorner

Every Tuesday & Friday UXBRIDGE are ‘All about the Kids.’ Bring the kids, tell a friend and head to UXBRIDGE for a free morning of creative fun. Whilst you grab a coffee, your kids can have a play in our new kids corner or get creative at our craft table. If this is not enough pop in and see what is playing in the UXBRIDGE Theatre.

Kids Art Day

The biggest arts event for children in East Auckland! Dedicated to youngsters and the young-at-heart, the focus is on children aged 3–12yrs but this free event is for the whole family. Pop in and out or stay all day. Loads of art workshops and activities!. The Performance Stage will hum with fabulous music and dance performances. Rain or shine, it’s all happening at UXBRIDGE!

Photomarathon

A photomarathon is a photographic competition with a twist: you have 10 hours to take 10 pics on 10 given topics. Your immense creativity, fab originality and your natural eye for a great image will get you through the day. Grab your camera, your family and make a day of it.

Garden Safari

Spring is coming & the UXBRIDGE Garden Safari is BACK! For one day only the gates of East Auckland’s best gardens are flung wide to receive you. Discover local treasures, be inspired by gorgeous town house gardens, lose yourself in lush glades, wander exotic groves or find contemplative corners. Visit up to 8 gardens in your own time or join one of our ½ day bus tours. PROGRAMME AVAILABLE SOON

Thames Tour

OVER 60’S PROGRAMME

A trip to Thames is not complete without a stop at Rapaura Watergardens. Lose yourself in the abundant native bush; listen for Tuis, Fantails, Silver Eyes and Wood Pigeons and meander over bridges and streams to the cascading waterfall. Replenish your energy with a lovely lunch before we head out to Thames town to visit the Museum and learn about the rich history of this pretty little place.

Waiwera Hot Pool

OVER 60’S PROGRAMME

Auckland’s most-visited thermal water destination, Waiwera Thermal Resort, is only 35 minutes north of Auckland, on the picturesque Hibiscus Coast. Relax and unwind in the natural (not artificially heated) thermal pools, sheltered by native bush with views of the Waiwera valley hills. Or take the plunge on the water slides! Either way, a great day out and lunch is included.

Rannoch House

OVER 60’S PROGRAMME

Built between 1913 and 1915 in the Arts and Crafts style, the site of Rannoch House includes an acre of remnant Mt Eden lava forest which is the home to some 112 sculptures (and growing). Take a tour of this fascinating 4-storey, shingle-clad home with its finely fitted basalt lower walls, which not only hosts concerts, but houses a gallery and functions as a living museum of modern New Zealand art.

Ho Ho Ho – Christmas Light Tour

OVER 60’S PROGRAMME

Enjoy a tour of Ponsonby’s Christmas lights. Join us as we head down to Mission Bay for a coffee (or ice cream!) before wending our way to Franklin Road, famous for its festively festooned homes. If there is time we will stop at some local streets that join in the festive fervour.

Moorefield’s Private Car Collection

OVER 60’S PROGRAMME

Passionate about petroliana? Amassed over 30 years, this impressive display of interesting collectibles related to gas stations & the petroleum industry spans from the late 1800’s to the 1980’s. Ooh and aah over motorbikes and the gorgeous classics and hot rods on display. Chatting to Steve about his mad love of motors is a great way to spend a morning.
